KITESURFING LESSON WITH KITE WAY OUT
Yes! You can get into kitesurfing in an easy and affortable way. We have the gear, knowledge and wind. All you need from your side is will to learn. Kitesurfing is exciting sport and can be learned quickly and performed safely with guidance of instructor with many years experience in kiteboarding and teaching in different parts of the globe.
Kitesurfing can be not only your daily workout on water, but a good reason to meet other fantastic people like you, way of travel to faraway places, keep your body and mind balanced, stay chilled.
WHERE CAN WE MEET?
It’s up to us where do we meet. Lets try to make it convenient for you... and resonable for us too ;). There are few popular kitesurfing spots in bay area, which description you can check on KITESURFING SPOTS tab. Some of them are accurate for beginners, other only for experienced riders.
To learn to operate the kite any wide open space with steady wind is good. For learning to ride the board, flat water and side-on-shore wind would suit you the most. We usually kite and meet in Ocean Beach (San Francisco), Alameda (East Bay), 3rd Ave (South SF), sometimes in Pacifica (south from SF) or Sherman Island (north-east from SF).
KITESURFING LESSONS PROGRAM
LEVEL I - Beginner
THEORY + KITE
DURATION: 3 HRS
You will learn:
- equipment set up,
- wind directions, wind window theory,
- right of way rules
- flying trainer kite
- launching and
- operating the kite,
- using self-rescue systems in case of danger,
- body-dragging down and up wind.
First hour of that part is strictly theoretical and on ground. After that you train in water how to operate the kite. We provide you with wetsuit and equipment.
LEVEL II - Independent kiteboarder
KITE + BOARD
DURATION: 3 HRS
Here you will learn how to:
- prepare yourself for getting on board,
- do your first starts on both sides,
- ride upwind
- apply ‘right of way’
- more info about kites, gear, help with choosing your own gear
Mastering the bard takes some time and is essential for safe and easy kitesurfing. After this course you will be able to ride down and up wind.
LEVEL III - Advanced
TURNS + JUMPS
DURATION: 2 HRS
On this level you will be mastering:
- riding up wind
- change of riding direction
- your first jumps
- eventually switch (riding on the front edge of the board)
At this stage you should have already good skill in kiteboarding in both directions and eventually be able to ride upwind. You will basically kiteboard all the time trying to perform basic tricks with instructor staying on the side, observing you and giving you advices how to do it better. Mind a special price for this part of your training and treat it as an encouragement to develope.
ANY LEVEL / REFRESHMENT
DURATION: MIN 2 HRS (OR MORE)
Individual hours are good if you did kiteboard before and want a quick refreshment or you are not sure and just want to check if kiteboarding is for you without taking full course. During the training you can decide to extend it to full course. It’s also usefull to take an individual lesson to practice more difficult tricks.
LEVEL I & II
FROM '0' TO 'HERO'
DURATION: 6+ HRS
This is something for you, if you ‘re not sure how long it’s going to take you till comfortable riding. Simply pay the whole amount of $500 after the first session and we will be training you till you succeded.
TRAIN ON YOUR OWN
TRAINER KITE RENTAL
DURATION: UP TO YOU
If you want to practice yourself after your first lesson, you can rent a trainer kite. It will increase your precission, ceartainity and comfort of flying the kite and speed up your progress on the next lesson.

Hi! My name is Janus. I kite my way out since several years and actually teaching it since the same time. I started in Poland, Europe which is kitesurfing lovers nation. With years I combined it with my passion for travel and meeting new places and people. In fact I did ride and teach in places like Spain, Greece, Germany, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and continental USA. Next step will be probably travel to South America and Caribbean. Except kiteboarding, I'm interested in motorbike riding, mountain hiking, skiing, recently whitewater kayaking and beside outdoor activities in webdesign, filming and history of places I visit.
